Doctor Calderón shares her experience with the Icekap Cool Cap.
What makes us happiest is hearing that our products are helping people find relief — wherever they live, and whatever their problem is. So we’re proud to partner with the NCCS and other charitable organizations around the globe!
Do you know your “why?”
Simon Sinek coined the phrase “start with why” back in 2009, and since then it’s become the rallying cry for people and businesses who want to do more, and do more good.
Since our founding in 2012, we’ve never lost sight of our “why.” Simply put, our goal at Icekap is to empower survivors. Whether they’re dealing with migraines, head trauma, or life-threatening cancer, we want people suffering from these illnesses to be able to take their power back… to be able to continue to live as people, not sufferers.
So we’ve given charitably since our inception. And in the past 7 years, since we began our partnership with them, Icekap has donated over 1,000 Cool Caps to The National Children’s Cancer Society (NCCS).
The NCCS supports children with cancer — and their families — across the globe. Since 2016, we’ve been donating returned Cool Caps to the NCCS, which ensures they get into the hands of organizations who need them.
One such organization is AYUVI Hogar Estuardo Mini, which supports children in Guatemala with leukemia, brain tumors, and other types of cancer.
Headaches can be a common, but debilitating, symptom of these diseases… and they can be exacerbated by radiation treatment and chemotherapy.
Cold therapy has been shown to be an excellent adjunct treatment for cancer patients, but advanced cryotherapy techniques are inaccessible for most patients in Guatemala. So doctors at AYUVI turn to Icekap to help children manage their symptoms and find some degree of comfort.
